Guyana Rainbow Boas (Epicrates maurus guyanensis) was originally described in 2005 by the herpetologist G. Matz. The type locality is: ” Mana, French Guiana”. This town is located on the Mana River.
Guyana Rainbow Boas are known for their beautiful iridescent scales and striking patterns. These boas have a moderate size, with adults typically reaching lengths of 3.5-4 feet (1.0 to 1.2 meters). Pictures of their parents are available here.
